Spiritual Growth and Personal Discipleship |
The Great Commission Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20 "All authority has been give to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." His last words are our greatest desire! Where do we begin after we place our personal faith in Jesus as our Savior? We are baptized and then we begin to study His life and words with an emphasis on obeying all that God has commanded us to do. We believe the Bible is the sole basis for our beliefs and understanding of God. It was uniquely, verbally and fully inspired by the Holy Spirit and was written without error in the original manuscript. It is the supreme and final authority on faith and life in every age. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 As God's life-changing text, we believe it is vital for the Bible to be read, studied, understood and obeyed by each believer and seeker in Christ. Therefore, the pastors of New Song have provided the following recommended reading plan to help guide you through reading the Bible on a regular basis and in a systematic manner. This reading plan is gently paced to get you through the Old Testament every other year, and Psalms, Proverbs and the New Testament every year. |
